My name is Kelsey Çetin and I recently moved home to California. I had been living overseas as an American expatriate in Izmir, Turkey since 2013, with a few chunks of time back in the US. I moved abroad after college, because I knew if I didn’t do it then, I never would. What I did not know was the extent to which that decision would change the rest of my life.
I was hungry to get out my bubble in California. I wanted to see the world, I wanted to meet different people, and I really wanted to learn a second language. Fast forward five years and I accomplished all of those things! Plus I snagged a Turkish husband along the way, so things worked out alright. His name is Ozzy and he is my love. Now that I am back in the US, my wanderlust has only grown and I want to continue traveling the world, learning new cultures and meeting new people.
My hope through this blog is to both share travel tips, city and country guides and provide relevant, helpful resources for expats living abroad. From time to time, I will even post some funny stories about embarrassing moments and cultural faux pas I’ve experienced being a foreigner. Welcome to my travel blog!
