  • Marriage real talk: while I am careful to be kind, patient and forgiving with everyone else, I feel like I am often the opposite with my husband. Is it because I’m overly sensitive? Is it because I expect too much? I know I am too quick to be short, harsh and critical. Honestly, it is almost on a daily basis and it’s painful for both of us (more for him, I’m sure). We’ve been under a lot of stress for a long time, and I feel like I keep waiting for the day when it will all go away and I will feel less tense, helping me not to act out against him so much. . But I am lying to myself. I have been extra conscious of this lately and I am admitting it here because I know it needs to stop. I need some methods to cope and make sure I stop treating the most important person in my life like he isn’t important at all. . I’m definitely open to any advice, wives, on how you manage not to nag and harp on your hubbies when they drive you a little crazy. . The most amazing part of it all is him. He’s almost never retaliated against me, sought to avenge himself, or gotten angry and yelled at me. He just listens quietly. I know he’s probably hurting, but it’s a testament to his love and respect of us that he doesn’t hurt me back.   • Started off our coffee shop adventure with a bang by visiting the best coffee shop in the city, @templecoffee ☕️🌱 . We are new Sacramentians and we’ve been so busy that we haven’t had much time to explore. One of my favorite things in life is coffee so, of course, when we had a few hours to kill I wanted to scope out a new spot. It did not disappoint! I could smell the delicious coffee beans roasting all the way from the parking lot. Their cappuccinos were great (my husband ordered that) and they have perfected the chill coffee shop vibe. I’ll definitely be purchasing some beans next time we go. .
